Jeff,

How many simultaneous calls do you have going before you get audio
problems?

Have you turned on the asterisk jitter buffer?  What is it set to?

Excel has a "Hosted Asterisk Server" product.  I believe it is
$300/month.  It's not cheap, but you get a server, with CentOS or Debian
installed, that is directly connected to Excel's VoIP infrastructure
(and to the internet).  No jitter problems.  Low per mintue rates (US
48).

No idea if she does enough minutes to justify the cost.

Still haven't checked to see if we have reasonable "across the internet"
SIP termination and origination that would meet her needs or the needs
of this group for experimentation.
